ANGLE LIMIT SENSOR FOR SIDEPULL PREVENTION
The Angle Limiting Sensor is an innovative device that detects the angle of lift on an overhead crane hoist and helps prevent potentially dangerous side-pulling when making lifts.
Simple to install and set up, the sensor mounts on the equalizer sheave or anchor point of the hoist and accepts 110VAC or 24VDC power, so no separate power supply is required.
Its angle limits can be set using the device’s face buttons, and when exceeded an onboard relay can be set to open or close for either limiting hoisting, or simply warning operators via light or buzzer (or both, see our SIREX series of light-buzzers).
The ALS comes in two versions – a basic model (ALS-D2-220) with a single relay output, and an advanced model that adds a CANBUS output (ALS-D2-221).
The ALS CANBUS features optional integration with the RIO Screen, a trolleymounted display that can show angle information, load cell weight, and also allows for remote configuration of the lift angles using the RIO Remote Control.
