Magnaposi is a sensor for monitoring the catenary of a steel strip as it goes through a continuous pickling line. Using magnetism, Magnaposi can tell the operator the depth of the catenary at all times, and it can be integrated into existing roller control systems to maintain the catenary automatically.
Magnaposi sensors can be installed on the outside of a polyprophelene pickling tank, or even on the inside of a steel pickling tank with some modifications. The sensors themselves are highly robust, and can survive at least a year inside of the pickling acid.
